Professional Experience

 

Successfully worked in major accounting, financial, training and deal-making positions in equipment leasing, banking, commercial real estate, cruises and indie films.

 

Principal Areas of Practice

 

Since 1975, Jeffrey Taylor has worked with both small and large corporations in the areas of knowledge transfer, strategic planning and business value enhancement. His international projects have taken him to Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, Malta, Mexico, Nigeria, Portugal, Singapore and the U.K.

He is the author of “Selling Leasing In A Tough Economy”,  “The Future of Equipment Leasing” and  "A Gentleman Drunk". Mr. Taylor is currently working on his next book entitled "Film Finance For Beginners".

 

Major Projects

Knowledge Transfer

  • Worked with Independent Film Production company to set up multi-state accounting, tax, payroll and finance structures in order to minimize/defer corporate income taxes
  • Worked with multiple clients to structure advanced 1031 transactions in order to minimize/defer corporate income taxes
  • Prepared management presentation to City Board for special use permits
  • Trained Kuwaiti-based auto finance company on Islamic-based finance rules
  • Explained Canadian lease accounting and tax laws to several Canadian-based U.S. captive finance companies

  • Strengthened sales skills of global bank asset management group
  • Established captive finance programs for several small-ticket manufacturers
